The programme of the Centre is organised in 6 work packages. Each work package consists of several tasks. Some tasks are devoted to organization of specialised workshop-type meetings in Poland, with the best specialists from Europe invited to speak on their respective fields of activity. The next tasks are to enhance the international collaboration, either by inviting specialists or by enabling researchers from the Centre to travel to their foreign collaborators. Each of these activities has a distinct aim and character, which are specified in each work package description.
In order to achieve the objectives of CICSA the following complementary actions will be taken: special sessions at 2 international conferences (work package WP1), 7 specialized workshops on selected topics of particular importance to the Centre's and the Institute's field of research (WP2), 5 short term visits of senior researchers from Europe who will consult on the relevant research problems, 20 short-term visits of senior researchers and 2 junior ones from the Centre to co-operating European universities and research centres in order to set up co-operation programmes and to initiate joint research projects, 17 long term visits of researchers from the Centre of Excellence to learn modern technologies and to initiate integrated research projects (WP3, WP4). The Networking work package (WP4) is focused on implementation of objectives set up by international agreements co-signed with European countries to establish a platform for information exchange. The dissemination of knowledge and information will also comprise presentations at fairs, meetings, workshops, field days and collaboration with mass media and academic institutions.
Promotional activities included in work package WP5 allow researchers from Polish institutes and universities to take advantages of this project. Work package WP6 aims to implement innovative organization and management practices employed by leading EU research centres. |
