Local Contact Point

The Local Contact Point (http://www.6pr.pl/s5o/adresy/siec-LPK.html) for Framework Programmes at the PBAI in Radzików was established in May 2003. It is a part of the network created by the State Committee for Scientific Research and co-ordinated by the National Contact Point in Warsaw, composed of Regional, Trade and Local Contact Points.

LCP activities comprise the following:

• dissemination of information about the Framework Programmes, including participation rules,
• assistance in the search of collaboration partners within international research programmes co-financed with the European Union funds,
• assistance in writing applications for active and efficient participation in the EU Framework Programmes,
• maintaining contact with the regional academic and research agricultural institutions and companies,
• working contact with Regional and Trade Contact Points.

The Local Contact Point is run by Małgorzata Chudy, M.Sc., under the supervision of prof. Edward Arseniuk, IHAR director. It is supported by the Regional Contact Point (http://www.6pr.pl/adresy/adresy_en.html), which covers the Central Region of Poland. The area comprises, in accordance with the State Committee for Scientific Research directives, the Mazowieckie, Podlaskie and Świętokrzyskie Provinces. It is financed by the Plant Breeding and Acclimatization Institute funds.
